Aymara Limma is a Sag-Aftra actress, a producer, director and an awarded filmmaker. Living in Venice, Italy for about five years, she completed a “Master in Fine Arts in Filmmaking” at the renowned Venetian University “Ca’ Foscari”. She was an Executive Book published for Editora Five Star, responsible for some bestsellers and books like “A Mulher é Amar “ de Arthur da Tavola.
Aymara has been following the major European’s film festival as an international correspondent and is the host of “Cine Arte Variety com Aymara Limma”, a weekly TV show about entertainment, on its Third season, airs twice a week: Wednesday 11 pm and Friday 2pm at the VRT Channel.
Will Mazzola is a Brazilian-born film filmmaker and director of photography based in Los Angeles, with a diverse background in both narrative and commercial filmmaking. His narrative work spans short films and mini-series, showcasing his ability to blend visual storytelling with emotional depth. He has previously had a short-film featured at the Los Angeles Brazilian Film Festival (LABRFF), highlighting his strong connection to the Brazilian film community. Will collaborates with production companies like Trator Filmes, Corazon, Ultravioleta, and Show Off in Portugal, continually pushing creative boundaries while delivering visually captivating projects.
Verônica Villa is the Non-Fiction Development and Production Manager at Warner Bros Discovery, responsible for sourcing, developing and producing unscripted formats for the company.
With over two decades of experience in creation, production, casting, and team leadership, Verônica has built a solid career, having worked at some of the most important channels in Brazil, both on cable and broadcast TV, including HBO, FOX, MTV, and Globo.
In 2021, she served as a juror for the International Emmy Awards in the Unscripted Entertainment category, showcasing her recognition and expertise in the field. Additionally, in 2023, a project she helped develop, A Ponte – The Bridge Brasil, won the International Emmy Award for Best Unscripted Entertainment Format.
Lula Oliveira is a journalist, screenwriter, and filmmaker. He is a partner at the production company DocDoma Filmes. He produced various independent videos in the mid-90s (*Morrão!*; *O Tocador de Ilusões*; *Perto do Fogo*; *Meninos Ambulantes*; *A Fronteira do Invisível*). He wrote and directed the short films *Horizonte Vertical* (Award: Best Fiction Video at the XXVIII International Film Festival of Bahia, 2001) and *Na Terra do Sol* (BNB Cinema Award: Best Short Film at the XXXIII International Film Festival of Bahia, 2006). He was the executive producer of the feature film *Cuíca de Santo Amaro – Ele o Tal* (2010) and the short films *Cães* (2009) and *Premonição* (2009). He wrote and directed the documentary *O Quilombo do Iguape: Uma Estória de Vida, de Terra e de Direitos*, which premiered at the Terra di Tutti Film Festival (Bologna/Florence – 2018). He produced and directed the documentaries *Enseada* (2021) and *Trilha Patrimonial dos Caretas e Zambiapunga* (2021). He wrote and directed the feature film *A Matriarca* (Honorable Mention for Recognition of the Work at LABRFF 2024). He served as President of the Bahia Association of Cinema and Video (2008), Head of the Ministry of Culture Representation (2012), and Coordinator of Diffusion and Formulation at the Audiovisual Secretariat of the Ministry of Culture (2016). He is currently a master’s student at PosCultura, at the Institute of Humanities, Art, and Culture of the Federal University of Bahia.
We are very proud to announce Laura Malin as President of our Jury. With 27 years of experience in the film and television industry, Laura offers consulting, coaching, and mentoring in content development, screenwriting, and sales through her Hollywood-based company, Malin Entertainment. Since 2021, she has served as a jury member for the International Emmy Awards. Laura has written, collaborated on, and supervised numerous series and miniseries, in addition to over 50 feature films.
Graduated in Film from FAAP (Fundação Armando Álvares Penteado) and a PhD candidate in Social Communication at UNB. Director and screenwriter of the series *O Nome Dela é Gal* (HBO); she also directed short films, commercials, and music videos for renowned artists, including *Tanto Faz* by Fagner, *Vida* by Ricky Martin feat. Dream Team do Passinho, *Segue o Som* by Vanessa da Mata, among others. She is the director and actress in the film *Meu Nome é Gal*, a biopic about the singer Gal Costa. She is currently editing the documentary *De Quem é a Culpa*, about Bolsonaro’s actions during the Covid-19 pandemic, and developing the documentary *Vou Tirar Você Desse Lugar*, which explores the career and work of the singer Odair José.
