Synopsis:

São Paulo, 1919. Cyclone juggles a job as a typographer at an anarchist printing press with her work adapting plays for Heitor, a renowned playwright who is also her lover. Divorced and childfree, she yearns to see her own plays ignite the stage despite being repeatedly told that this is an unacceptable dream for a woman, especially a working-class one like herself. Despite all odds, she lands a scholarship to study playwriting in Paris. But along with the good news comes the bad: she is also pregnant. Penniless, Cyclone embarks on a violent quest for an illegal abortion while fighting to make her voice heard in a world that denies women ownership of their own bodies.
