Luisa Parnes

Luísa is a Brazilian-born award-winning TV and Screenwriter, currently based in Los Angeles. After graduating from Law School, Luísa obtained her MFA in Screenwriting from Tisch/NYU.
Luísa’s first feature film as a writer. Before I Forget, was widely distributed in Brazil and has screened in over forty film festivals around the world, and was the LABRFF Best Film Award Winner in 2018.
For two years, she worked as a Development Consultant for Amazon Studios, working closely with creators and filmmakers throughout the development process. Currently, she’s a screenwriting instructor at NYFA, in Burbank, California. She also teaches free screenwriting lessons on Youtube!

Sylvia Palma

Screenwriter and documentary director. Worked at TV GLOBO, TV RECORD, SBT TV, CANAL FUTURA. Master in Culture, Communication and Pedagogy/UERJ. Postgraduate teacher in Screenwriting for Cinema, TV/FACHA.

Screenwriter for the series: A LEI E O CRIME, PIGMALEÃO DO BREJO, A DONA DA BANCA, CÉU CAÓTICO. Screenwriter in the soup opera: THE SEVENTH GUARDIAN.

Screenwriter off documentaries: CAMINHO DA PEDRAS and URUGUAY IN THE VANGUARDA. And documentarian: TV FIRST PLAN, OPEN SCENE, SPECIAL DOCUMENT, THE REPORTER, NEWSROOM, etc. Script doctor/series: PUNGA, ÁGUA DE PLANTAR, URBAN PORTRAITS, OUR CRAFT, MINUTE TO THE POINT, DEPENDENTS, CONNECTION MAKER, FLAVORS OF THE FOREST, and FUTURA CANAL´s programs. Consultant for festivals and public notices, such as Cabíria, Festival do Rio, FAC, OEI, Netlab, Filma Brasil, etc. Curator of the LUÍS BUÑUEL Film Festival.

Vice-president of the Screenwriters Association ABRA/2020, General Secretary of GEDAR/2022. Executive Committee of Fesaal – Latin American Federation of Audiovisual Creators/22. Executive Committee of AVACI – International Confederation of Audiovisual Creators/22.

Currently works as a director at the documentary: O PAGADOR and is the screenwriter of the films: CALOR, VESTIDO VERMELHO (winner of the 2021, FAC/Brasilia feature film).

Izah Neiva

Izah Neiva is an specialist in cinema, bachelor’s degree on performing arts. She directed the production of the 1st season of “Reality Hellmann’s eBurguer League”. Finalization producer of the feature film “Aeroponto”. She directed the short films: “A Última Chance” (2017), “Era Uma Vez em São Paulo” (2019), “O Menino da Moeda” (2021) e “Firmina” (2023). She made appearances in some series on Globo Play, HBO, Netflix and Paramount.

Flavia Guerra

Journalist and documentarist, Flavia Guerra has a Masters degree in MA Screen Documentary from Goldsmiths – University of London. She presents the podcast Plano Geral (@planogeral_pocast) and is a commentator to Band News TV and radio.
In cinema, she has worked in several projects as writer, narrator, producer and director. Flavia has directed the doc Karl Max Way (special prize in It’s All True Film Festival); coproduced and was the AD of My Father’s Truck (directed by Mauricio Osaki, shortlisted for Best Short Film Oscar 2015). Currently, she’s filming “Poemaria” and “Notícias Populares – Beyond the Truth” documentaries.
Flavia has been part of the selection committee of several film festivals, such as Gramado Film Festival and Brasília Film Festival. She has also been a jury member of Canal Brasil Short Film Award (which is given to short films in film festivals all over Brazil) for several years. Currently, she’s the curator of Feed Dog Brasil – International Fashion Documentaries Festival and is a teacher in Cinema and TV Documentary course in Centro Cultural Barco.

Barbara De La Fuente

Barbara de la Fuente is an award-winning actress, producer, screenwriter, playwright, film curator, and arts promoter. A graduate of the School of the Dramatic Arts, University of Sao Paulo, she has worked in Brazil and Canada in numerous award-winning theatre plays and films. Through Southern Mirrors, a production company she founded, she’s been producing successful film projects, theatre, film festivals, and cultural events.
