Facing the wave of attacks from the far right, the economist and the most prominent communicator in the country’s progressive field, Eduardo Moreira, decides to take a trip to Cuba – the country that has become a symbol of hatred for prominent figures of Brazilian fascism. In the company of Frei Betto, Eduardo tries to unravel the mysteries of the island and its people, who, despite the cruel American blockade, have been resisting for more than 60 years. The documentary features powerful and moving testimonies from Cuban personalities such as Aleida Guevara and President Miguel Díaz-Canel. Filmed by the Cuban team of the 4 Esquinas production company, it is the first international documentary of the ICL channel, an institute based on José Martí’s ideal that ‘only knowledge liberates.’
