Sunflower tells the story of Vicky, a 30-year-old autistic woman and children’s book author, who finds refuge in her art. She lives with her father, Carlos, who provides the support she needs to deal with the challenges of daily life. However, as Carlos begins to feel his age, he grows increasingly worried about his daughter’s future. Vicky is working on a new book inspired by a recurring dream, where she imagines herself as a princess leaving her safe kingdom, drawn by a soft melody that leads her to a sunflower field, where she encounters a mysterious young man. Much like a real-life fairy tale, a new neighbor moves in, blurring the lines between fantasy and reality, and awakening emotions in Vicky that she has never felt before.
