The time has come again: the USA will soon celebrate Black Friday. On Friday after Thanksgiving, American, but also European dealers give discounts for the after-holiday shopper. The Bitcoin scene has its own “Bitcoin Black Friday”, where dealers give discounts especially for customers who pay with Bitcoin. On 28. November it is that far again. We from Bitcoinblog will continue this year and announce dealers from the German -speaking area.
Christmas shopping begins at Black Friday in the USA. On Friday after Thanksgiving, the Americans roll into the shopping centers in droves to shop for the following weekend and get the first gifts for the festival of love. The dealers open their shops in the early morning hours to delight the customers who are waiting before the gates with special offers and giveaways. Since Apple offered the American Black Friday offers in Germany in 2006, the Black Friday has also spread in this country. Of course, by no means to the scope as in the United States, but with increasing importance for commerce.
The Bitcoin Black Friday has been taking place on the same day since 2012. The Bitcoinblog has been participating in the campaign since 2013 by announcing dealers who offer discounts for Bitcoin payments. Last year, Bitcoin Black Friday led to an unusual sales volume at the few German acceptance points. The number of daily transactions was catapulted on this day on the value previously measured so far.
Of the 19 shops that have participated in this country, some have given feedback
Bitcoin Friday was a great success, we got some new customers and the daily turnover was approx. 10% of November sales. Some customers took the 25% discount as an occasion, as well as the high BTC course, to give up large orders. We even had our first order from Finland.

We were very surprised by the number of orders on Bitcoin Friday. We were aware that it would be a lot. However, we surprised us that we have to rework 3 days to process the orders.

The Friday actually went quite well, we had some orders. However, everything is smaller […] but it was nice to see that it all worked well, both my script with the course query at Bitcoin.de, the conversion of the purchase price and also the BTC network. We watched most of it and after 5 minutes the transfers were 1-3
confirmed. Worked out excellently and was fun.

The Bitcoin Friday went quite well. Some vouchers were redeemed.

The demand was even so great that I had to reorder more items on the package. However, I can comply with the delivery times given for all customers because I requested more goods from the supplier before the weekend.
– Stefan Eichhorst, Ybit
The Bitcoin Friday went very well, at least in relation to our expectations. In total we sold 24 tablets when I add the purchases a day before and afterwards. At Bitcoin Friday directly there were exactly 19 pieces. We had expected a maximum of 10.

We are excited to see if we can top the result from last year. Traders who have special offers are called up to Christoph.Bergmann@Bitcoin.de to send. I will announce it a few days before the Black Friday.
